Community of Wrightwood The mountain community of Wrightwood is located on the north slope of the San Gabriel Mountain Range at an elevation of 6,000 feet along State Highway 2 off of Highway 138. Health Wrightwood is served by the Family Health Center, Victor Valley Community Hospital and Desert Valley Hospital. Education Wrightwood has one elementary school. Attendance for junior and senior high schools are located in Phelan (8 miles from the village) in the Snowline School District. Cultural and Recreation Wrightwood has 8 churches, 1 library, a post office, a country club, 2 art galleries and many retail specialty stores. Wrightwood is famous for its fine ski resorts and its proximity to the Angeles National Forest hiking trails.
